So ensure you keep your blog updated, with content that a large segment of visitors to your blog would find interesting.

Tip #2: Append Your Blog Link to Your IM Status Message

Most common chat messengers such as Yahoo! Messenger, MSN Messenger, AIM, Google Talk, etc. allow users to append status messages against their IM IDs. These messages could virtually be anything of your choice. So, why not the link of your blog? This is especially useful as our IM listings tend to grow with time; so word about your blog will spread far and wide to many. Also, have your blog be your signature when you send out emails, (I know gmail and yahoo mail offer signatures, idk about the others.)

Tip #3: Write Articles

Article writing is a sure shot way of increasing traffic to your blog. The presence of article directories ensures that you can submit your articles at various places, and get recognition for that. Tip #4: Include Your Blog's Link in Your Newsletter

In case you happen to publish newsletters, make sure that you include your blog's link in every issue. It is very likely that readers of your newsletters would also visit your blog when they see the link. This would also serve to reaffirm your credibility, especially from the newsletter's point of view.

Tip #5: Buy Ads

Google adsense is a great (expensive) way to get traffic to you blog, and you could also buy banner ads on your favorite (niche) forums.
