Hi everyone. Thanks for visiting today. This article is going to be all about picking a subject to write when you are writing your own eBook. Enjoy!

So, you've decided to write an eBook, right? You have the knowledge and you know what it is. But whenever you start writing, you write too much, escaping the subject line you've chosen. You can't decide what to write. Are these the symptoms you're facing? If yes, you can solve your problem in some easy easy steps!

Writing an eBook can be very profitable if you sell it, and can also be a great way of collecting leads if you give it away for free.

In reality, Writing an eBook is easy. Your writing skills should develop and improve with time, but you can get a jump start for future success by writing your first eBook. If you want, you could get some practice writing articles and selling them... there will be another post on freelancing coming soon. Lets get started!!

Step 1 : The first step in creating an eBook is to find your niche, or in other words, the thing that you're going to write about. First, you need to prepare a list of all the things you like doing, or do everyday. Things that you find easy to do. You might hate doing something, but that would still be easy for you to do than others. So you do know about that subject more than many! Keep the list going. All the list items may not come up at first. It can take a whole day to brainstorm, but don't give up! Some popular topics are: Health, Fitness, Money-Making, adwords tips, writing, art, business, forex, childrens' topics, arts/crafts, adult, smoking, etc.... those are just some that popped into my head. It only took me 30 seconds to think and type that list, so you get the idea on how easy it is.

Step 2 : Try to recall events in which you were praised. Be it anyone, your uncle, your father or even your child or school teacher. It doesn't matter whom! List the things why you were praised for. Did you complete a project that stood out? Let it be anything!

Step 3 : A friend in need is a friend indeed. You might have helped a lot of your friends do something. Maybe how to study for good grades? Or even giving them some good advice. Whatever it might be, put everything down on the paper.

Step 4 : The above lists sound simple, but it can take hours to brainstorm them. But once its done, you might find something surprising. There can be things which are interrelated in all of the 3 lists. Maybe you like playing soccer, you were awarded with prizes in your High School for outstanding performance in soccer and you help many of your friends learn soccer.

Pick one such topic. You were praised for something. How did you prepare for it? What did you do for practicing? How did you make yourself ready? While teaching your friends, what mistakes did they make the most? What were the various approaches you used to train them? What did you find in-common for all of them?

There you have it! You know what kind of mistakes people can make on a subject. You can address all those problems from your own experience. You know how to prepare for certain situations. You know the techniques you used to climb the ladder of success. So what are you waiting for? Start writing everything in detail. It doesn't matter what goes where, as you can even edit your ebook later.

The next part in this 3 or 4 part series is coming soon. (Actually, it's coming today in a few minutes...) !!
